PLC programming, HMI & machine integration

Develop clear machine sequences and operator screens around your process. We work from your PLC model, electrical drawings, I/O list and operating requirements to define a tested automation scope.

PLC capabilities and integration options

Control sequences & modes

Automatic/manual modes, start-stop sequences, permissives, timers, counters and state-based logic appropriate to the machine. Final behavior is documented and tested with the operator.

Digital & analog I/O

Signal mapping and scaling for switches, pressure, temperature, flow and other compatible instruments. Module selection, electrical ratings, isolation and sensor calibration are verified separately.

HMI operator interfaces

Machine status, setpoints, alarms, trends and role-based operator screens, including compatible Weintek HMI projects. Available functions depend on the panel model, runtime and licenses.

Drive & actuator integration

VFD speed commands, motor status, valves and actuator feedback where supported. Motion, servo positioning or coordinated axes require compatible hardware and a separately engineered scope.

Process control

PID loop configuration, engineering-unit conversion and setpoint limits where the selected PLC supports them. Tuning requires suitable instrumentation and supervised site trials.

Communications & SCADA

Modbus TCP/RTU and supported industrial networks, tag mapping and approved SCADA or gateway links. Proprietary protocols, OPC UA and third-party drivers require compatibility and licensing checks.

Diagnostics & records

Fault codes, run counters, event history and maintenance indicators can be scoped. Retention, time synchronization and export options depend on controller memory and HMI/server capabilities.

Commissioning & handover

I/O checks, sequence tests, backup copies, electrical documentation and operator training. Changes to running equipment need an approved maintenance window and documented recovery procedure.

Typical PLC applications

Pumps, compressors, packaging sequences, utility skids, dispensing equipment, tank-level monitoring and machine retrofits, subject to a machine-specific engineering assessment.

PLC engineering workflow
  1. Define operationAgree the I/O list, operating modes, risks and acceptance tests.
  2. Develop logicPrepare controller sequences and model-compatible HMI screens.
  3. Test on siteCheck wiring, scaling, fault responses and operator workflows.
  4. Hand overDeliver agreed backups, documentation and training.

Safety and compatibility

Standard PLC software does not establish a certified safety function. Safety circuits, emergency stops and protective interlocks require an appropriate independent safety design and competent validation. PLC licenses, source access, vendor tools, controller capacity, cybersecurity and applicable standards are confirmed before accepting work.

Optional edge gateway for approved PLC data collection
A separate gateway can provide approved monitoring connectivity without replacing local control.
